2005/2006 Lancaster High School "Swinging Gales"

The "SWINGING" Gales Jazz Ensemble was begun in 1966 as an extra-curricular activity at Lancaster High School. Traditionally, the group has met during the after-school hours as an extra to the students schedule. The group was formed at the same time as the vocal jazz group, the "Singing Gales," and the two have performed together many times. The "SWINGING" Gales has given students an opportunity to perform many types of music not found in traditional concert setting such as Swing, Funk, Latin, and even Rock' n Roll.
